Bolsa de playa - Beach bag

Ya era hora de que cosiera la bolsa de playa con esta tela que compré con esta intención hace años en Gijón. Incluir la tela en el reto "12 meses - 12 telas" ha sido clave, jejejeje...

Ha sido el proyecto «residuo cero» por excelencia. Un solo retalín me sobraba y lo usé para el asa del neceser.

Patrón propio. Le he hecho todo lo que necesitaba: bolsillo con cremallera dentro, bolsillo grande fuera, y todo cerrado con una cremallera larga, que no quiero perder nada.

It was time I sewed the beach bag with this fabric I bought in Gijón years ago with this purpose.

It has been the perfect zero waste project! I've used even the last scrap, it's the strap of the purse, ha!

I drafted the pattern myself, with all I needed: zippered pocket inside, big pocket with snap outside and long zipper becaise I don't want to loose anything.

Mini bolso bandolera - Mini shoulder bag

Bubu quería un bolsito para su cumpleaños. Tenía que ser en tonos azules y escogí esta tela que me regaló Lourdes @Punts de Colors.

Usé una camisa reciclada para el forro. Y como tenía un bolsillo, lo aproveché, y me ahorré coser uno.

Encontré una tira marrón con mosquetones en mi cajón de herrajes para reciclar, que era exactamente su medida, así que de nuevo me ahorré coser…

Que la tira iba a engancharse con mosquetones lo tenía claro, porque me gusta tanto el bolsito que en cuanto pueda me coso una tira más larga para mí, y me lo pongo también. Jejeje esto no lo sabe la Bubu, espero que no le moleste.

Ahora comparto en el #mimikids del Club de las Malas Costureras.

Bubu wanted a shoulder bag for her birthday. It had to be blue. I chose this fabric I got time ago from Lourdes @Punts de Colors. 

I used a recycled shirt for the lining. It had a pocket, so I didn’t need to sew one…

And I found a strap with carabiners in my “to-recycle”-supplies drawer that was perfect her size, so I didn’t have to sew one too…

That the carabiners in the strap were a “must have” was clear for me, because I’ll sew a longer strap for me and I’ll use the bag too… hehehehe Bubu doesn’t know about it yet… I hope she doesn’t mind.

Mochila – Backpack

Una mochila para mí.

Telas de tiendas locales.

Y lo que he llegado a maldecir la polipiel esta. Crema hidratante acabé usando para que se moviera bajo el prensatelas.

Por cierto es la segunda tela del “12 meses – 12 telas” de este año. ¡Yuppi! Y estoy contenta porque la de libélulas hace mucho que estaba en el armario, y la he liquidado por completo también. Los restos que se ven en la foto es lo único que ha quedado.

Además he podido reciclar tela para hacer el bolsillo y los herrajes y cremalleras son todos sacados de otros bolsos también (menos el terminal metálico donde se engancha el mosquetón).

A backpack for me.

Pattern drafted myself.

Fabric from local stores.

The faux leather was veeeery tricky to sew. I ended up using moisturizing cream, so that it moved under the presser foot.

It is, by the way, one of my “12 months – 12 fabrics” of this year. Yay! And I’m happy I’ve completely used the dragonfly fabric too. The little scraps on the picture are all the leftovers.

I’m happy I could recycle some fabric for the pocket, and the metal hardware and zippers are all recycled from other bags as well.

Maletín de profe – Teacher bag

De vuelta a RUMS con mi maleta de profe. La que usé hasta el año pasado ya estaba muy tronada. Además este curso cambié de dar clases a adultos motivados a darlas en un instituto, que me he pasado al “lado oscuro”, como dice una colega de profesión… así que necesitaba hacerme algo colorido para contrarrestar.

Back to RUMS with my teacher bag. The one I had been using till last year was already broken. Because this course I changed from teaching motivated adults to teaching in a high school, so I was entering the «dark side», like a friend of mine says, I thought I needed something colorful.

 

Diseñé el patrón yo misma, con todo lo que necesitaba: medida adecuada para llevar carpeta y libros, bolsillo pequeño para cosas minis, bolsillo con cremallera para las llaves, bolsillos interiores…

I drafted the pattern myself, with all I needed: the right size for a folder and books, outside pocket for tiny things, zipper pocket for the keys, inside pockets...

Todas las telas son de las tiendas marroquís locales. Me encantaron los colores de los triángulos y el brillo plateado que tiene la polipiel gris.

Todos los herrajes y cremalleras son reciclados de otras bolsas. ¡Viva el reciclaje!

All fabrics were bought at a local store. I specially like the color of the triangles and the silver shine of the sort of faux leather.

All hardware was recycled from other bags. Yay for recycling!

Centré el estampado de los triángulos en todas partes, para que luciese perfecto, que después ver cosas “descasadas” todo el día pone muy nerviosa.

En negro, bien simple, pero es lo que tenía en mi lista de costura desde hace más de dos años…

In schwarz, ganz schlicht, aber das ist was schon längst auf meiner „to-do“-Liste stand.

Primero pensaba que sería immenso para mi gusto, pero ahora creo que tiene la medida ideal para llevar los trastos de las Bubus y para los recados imprevistos.

At first I thought it was going to turn out way too big for me. But now I think it has the ideal size for all the stuff I still must carry for the Bubus and for that spontaneous shopping we all have to do sometimes.

Am Anfang habe ich gedacht, die Tasche würde für meinen Geschmack zu groß sein. Aber jetzt finde ich sie perfekt, sie bietet genug Platz für all den Krimskrams von meinen Bubus und hat noch extra Raum für die spontanen Einkäufe.

La tela exterior es polipiel, la de la extensión es un fat quarter que me regaló Uve (¡gracias!), el forro es una tela del mercado (que me encantó), y el bolsillo es de un trozo de camisa de hombre.

Der Außenstoff ist künstliches Leder, der Verlängerungsteil wurde mit einem Fat quarter gemacht, den Uve mir mal schenkte, der Futterstoff stammt aus dem wöchentlichen Markt und die innere Tasche war ein Teil eines Hemdes.

Bolso y estuche Patrulla Canina - Paw Patrol Bag and Pouch

Sé que hay unos cuantos fans de la Patrulla Canina por aquí, Bubu es una de ellos.

El verano pasado uno de sus manguitos se pinchó, pero lo guardé porque sabía que algo iba a hacer con él. La idea de un bolso de la Patrulla ha estado mucho tiempo en mi cabeza, pero nunca encontraba el momento de hacerlo. El cumple de Bubu ha sido una buena excusa para ponerme las pilas.

I know there are a few Paw Patrol fans around here, Bubu is one of them.

Last summer one of her water wings had a puncture and I kept it because I knew I could do something with it. The idea of a Paw Patrol bag stood on my mind for a long time, but I didn’t find the right moment to sew it. Bubu’s birthday was a great excuse to finally do it!

Dibujé el patrón del bolso yo misma, cosí el dibujo de la Patrulla en la solapa y lo forré.

De paso, completé el regalo con un estuche.

Ahora Bubu puede llevar sus trastitos arriba y abajo bien orgullosa.

I drafted the pattern of the bag myself, sewed the figures on the flap and lined it.

I completed the bag with a pencil case.

Bubu can now carry her stuff proudly.

Este es el último regalo que le hice, ya habéis visto el Submarino Amarillo y la Camiseta Moomin. 

Y estoy contenta de haber puesto una etiqueta de Hilos y más, que no sé por qué no tengo costumbre de hacerlo y quedan fantásticas. Así de paso participo en el sarao #putalabelonit.

This is the last present I did, you already saw the Yellow Submarine and the Moomin t-shirt.

And I'm glad I put a label from Hilos y más at the back. I don't know why I don't use them more often, they are so pretty! And it is perfect for the #putalabelonit event!

Viator: Sant Antoni Edition

Do you remember the Viator I did in winter? The one we did in the sew-along at Cosiendo y aprendiendo?

Well, this bag is so practical and comfy to me, that I needed a summer version of it!

I call this version “Sant Antoni”, Charo will know why! ;-)

¿Os acordáis del Viator que hice en invierno? El del cose-conmigo de Cosiendo y aprendiendo?

Pues bien, me es tan cómodo y práctico que me he hecho una versión para el verano.

A esta versión la llamo “Sant Antoni”, ¡Charo sabrá el porqué! ;-)

“Changes” I did in the pattern: I added a zipper, this way I’ll be able to carry our stuff without losing a thing (not that we lost anything with the other Viator, it’s just safer).

And I did the pocket inside the same way I did for the winter version, that means taking advantage of the felt layer I used as interfacing (felt freak again, sorry). But this time I put a piece of the striped fabric to “line” the pocket.

"Cambios" que he hecho en el patrón: He añadido una cremallera para cerrar el bolso, así podré llevar todos los trastos sin preder nada (no es que haya perdido nada con el otro Viator, es simplemente seguridad).

Y le he hecho el bolsillo interior igual que en la versión invierno, o sea, aprovechando la capa de fieltro que he usado de entretela (la friki del fieltro vuelve a la carga, perdón). Pero esta vez le he puesto la tela de rayas como forro al bolsillo.

 

I did an anchor with felt to add a nautical touch (as if the stripes weren’t maritime enough).

Le he hecho un ancla de fieltro para añadirle un toque náutico (como si las rayas no fueran suficientes…jejeje).
