And it was time I sewed an Advent Calendar!

A Christmas fabric and a festive one, in the blue shades we like at home.

Number tags made with my Scanncut.

All done in the last minute. Maybe if I have time I will add some pompom ribbon to the little stockings next year.

Here I am, with a decorative RUMS today. I’m a super fan of fabric plants, maybe because I have no luck with real ones. The point is that cacti have been on my list for a long time and that I wanted something special for the hall at home now.

So, I drafted the patterns myself, it’s really easy.

I sewed the cacti wrong sides together. For a nicer and thorn-like finish I cut the seam allowance with zigzag scissors. I must admit I bought the scissors specially for this project (there’s always a good excuse to buy new sewing tools, right?).

Then I planted them in a beautiful flowerpot with the help of some cardboard.

To see how big the biggest one is, you can compare it to the keys (which have a matching “bed”, by the way) and to the mirror (authentic embossed metal by Bubu’s great-grandfather, a treasure).
