Vestidos para bebés – Baby dresses (Free pattern by Fabrik der Träume)

These are the dresses I made for Blanca, the baby of a very good friend of mine and for Mini Bubu. Our story is quite funny, Bubu is only one day older than her first daughter, and now we had two baby girls at the same time again, Mini Bubu is 19 days younger!! It’s really fantastic to be able to share a so important part of life with somebody who is going through the same at the same time! Don’t you think?

Now to the point… The pattern is a free one I found on Pinterest some time ago, created by Fabrik der Träume. There are different sizes. I chose size 62, intended for 2/4-month-old babies, but I think the dress turned out bigger than expected. Maybe it’s the fact that German babies are bigger than ours (I’ve experienced this other times when it comes to sizes), or maybe it’s just me, that I can’t remember how big a 2/4-month-old baby is!! We’ll see!!

Because it’s a sleeveless dress I really don’t care about the size, Baby Bubu will wear it as it is if in summer or with a body underneath if in autumn.

Do they look too posh with these fabrics?

Conjunto recién nacida (de patrones gratis) – Newborn set (from free patterns)

XD

Estos son los patrones:

~~&~~

This is a newborn set for Mini Bubu. It's a pity it's too hot to wear it now, I sewed it when it was still cold.
Yes, same fabrics and “design” as in the matching pyjamas I did in winter for Bubu and me, remember?
Bubu was awesome when she asked who was this new pyjama for, I told her “for your sister”, and she replied “and for daddy?” I’m sorry, but 4 matching pyjamas would be far too much for me!!! XD
Now to the patterns:

Top cruzado - Newborn wrap top:  The June Bride

(It was quite big, I had to reduce, specially in the sleeves)

Pantalones con pies - Footed baby pants:  Sew much ado

~~&~~

Mini Bubu needed a big bag for her clothes, like Bubu has. We use it a lot, it’s about 30x45 cm big (~12x18 inch), and it’s perfect to carry all these tiny clothes for a weekend.

You already saw the smaller bag I did for her too.

I added fusible interface to the letters and then I used the blanket stitch of my machine for the first time and I love the result!

I did French seams inside for a nicer finish.

The fabric is from Cal Joan.

If you follow me on Facebook you'll know Mini Bubu is already at home!! I don't know, if I'll be able to post that regularly, but for the moment I'll begin with some posts I wrote in advance.

So, this here is a must have for me, a bag for baby stuff. We use the bag to store a set of clean clothes in the stroller, but my sisters-in-law kept feeding bottles and formula.

This one is for Mini Bubu, of course.

I did the same hearts Bubu has in hers, but in turquoise.

I think these bags were one of the first things I sewed and embroidered to give as birth presents. You can see some examples in the post here.

I'm sorry I don't have something more spectacular today...

See you next week!!
