Aquí estoy, con un RUMS decorative hoy. Soy muy fan de las plantas
de tela, seguramente porque no tengo mucha suerte con las de verdad… La cosa es
que los cactus estaban en mi lista desde hacía mucho tiempo y ahora quería algo
especial para la entrada de mi casa.
Así
que dibujé los patrones yo misma, que es muy facil.
Cosí
los cactus con los reversos encarados, y para que quedaran bien acabados y con
unas espinas chulas corté los márgenes de costura con tijeras zigzag. Aquí debo
confesar que me compré las tijeras expresamente para este proyecto (siempre hay
una buena excusa para comprar herramientas nuevas, ¿verdad?).
Entonces
los planté en unos maceteros cuquis con ayuda de cartón reciclado.
Y
no se aprecia mucho, pero el cactus grande no es que sea grande, es que es MUY
grande… ¡¡jajajaja!! Podéis comparar con las llaves (que por cierto tienen “camita”
a juego) y con el espejo (repujado auténtico por el bisabuelo de mis nenas, un
tesoro vaya).
Here I am, with a decorative RUMS today. I’m a super
fan of fabric plants, maybe because I have no luck with real ones. The point is
that cacti have been on my list for a long time and that I wanted something
special for the hall at home now.
So, I drafted the patterns myself, it’s really easy.
I sewed the cacti wrong sides together. For a nicer and
thorn-like finish I cut the seam allowance with zigzag scissors. I must admit I
bought the scissors specially for this project (there’s always a good excuse to
buy new sewing tools, right?).
Then I planted them in a beautiful flowerpot with the
help of some cardboard.
To see how big the biggest one is, you can compare it
to the keys (which have a matching “bed”, by the way) and to the mirror
(authentic embossed metal by Bubu’s great-grandfather, a treasure).
