Funda para tablet – Tablet cover

I got a tablet for Christmas and it didn’t have a cover yet!! Bad, bad, bad, I know…

A month ago or so I saw a video tutorial by Diana from “Agenda de una mami crafter”, and I decided I had to do one (well, of course I knew already, that I had to sew one, but it gave me the kick…).

The thing is that I own a Microsoft Surface, which is quite special because it has different measures than others and it has the flap to make it stand, a feature that I didn’t want to lose.

So I had to design the whole thing myself.

To hold the flap I did a pocket, where I can insert the kickstand. This also prevents the tablet from slipping out of the bottom.

I added two elastics to hold the two corners on the top.

The whole case is also closed by an elastic.

~~&~~

I got the thick cardboard from an old folder, and I also used two layers of felt –sandwiching the cardboard- to make the cover softer. (Felt freak comes back!)

I did the back with two panels, so that it folds when I want to use the kickstand.

The dog fabric is the one from Teixits Eloy I used for Bubu’s apron and chef’s hat. And the dotted one is the one I bought in Germany last summer, you already saw it in the quiet book cover.

~~&~~

So, that’s it! Finally the thingy is protected!

More and better stuff next week..!! Bye bye!!

Bye bye!!
