Me parece que cada vez que pruebo un patrón para Irene de Serger Pepper
acabo haciendo un experimento… Esta vez, y como muy bien dice ella, mi cardigan
es más bien una chaqueta de entretiempo.

I feel like everytime
I test a pattern for Irene (@ Serger Pepper) I must do an experiment… Like she
says, my cardigan is actually a light coat…
Yo ya quería coserlo con un punto de jersey calentito de verdad (de
suéter para entendernos), pero no tenía suficiente. Así que al final escogí
este jersey elástico que parece denim como tela principal (es la que usé para
mis jeggins, ¿os acordáis?), y el punto de estrellas de forro. La primera tela
salió de la visita als Encants en nuestro encuentro blogger costuril, y la
segunda es de Cal Joan, de nuestro segundo encuentro blogger costuril, el
overlockero.

I wanted to use
sweater jersey to sew it at the beginning, but I didn’t have enough of it… So I
changed my mind and I used this stretch jersey that looks a bit like denim as
main fabric (I used for my jeggings, remember?), and the stars jersey as
lining. The first one from the market the second one from a local shop.
El patrón tiene muchos detalles y puede ser cosido de muchas maneras
distintas. Esto lo hace super interesante. Yo lo hice con la capucha normal y
de manga larga, pero se puede escoger la opción capucha de duende, y manga
corta o sin manga. También he visto soluciones alternativas al cinturón en
diferentes testers, todas ellas muy chulas.
Encontraréis el patrón en la revista online One Thimble, junto con otros
nueve, pero también se puede comprar el patrón solo allí mismo. Las tallas van
de los 2 años a los 16. Y gracias a la opción de imprimir por capas de PDF, se
puede escoger imprimir únicamente la talla que se necesita, se acabó gastar
tinta y papel inútilmente.

The pattern has many
details and can be sewn in different ways. That makes it very interesting. I
did the regular hood, but you could sew a very funny pixie hood, or leave it
hoodless for instance. You can choose to sew long sleeves, short ones or to do
a sleeveless version. And I’ve seen a few alternatives to the belt among the
testers, all they very nice.
You’ll find the
pattern in the e-zine One Thimble. You can buy the whole magazine or only Irene’s
pattern at the same place. Sizes range from 2 years to 16. And thanks to the PDF
layer option you can print exactly the size you need, no need to waste ink and paper…
