Estrellas de mar - Starfishes

Última costura del verano. Tenía que hacer algo con esta tela del reto “12 meses - 12 telas”, y a Bubu le gustaba para una camiseta para ella. Así que ¡adjudicada!

Compré la tela de estrella hace mil años en el mercado.

Hice el patrón a partir de una camiseta suya, pero como la tela es viscosa y no punto, pues le tuve que añadir una tira de punto a cada lado para que le quedara más de su talla. Para la tira en cuestión usé un retalín que me quedaba de mi camiseta. Creo que las dos telas juntas quedan de lo más marinero.

Last sewing project of the summer. I had to do something with this fabric for the challenge “12 months” 12 fabrics”, and the Bubu liked the starfishes for a t-shirt for her. So that’s it!

I bought the main fabric ages ago at the local market.

I drafted the pattern myself after another t-shirt, but as the fabric was rayon and not jersey, I had to add a stripe at the side to make it fit better. I chose this striped jersey (leftover from my tank top) for it. I think both fabrics look maritime together.

Top Crystal (La Maison Victor)

¡Otro Top Crystal (La Maison Victor 2/2017) para mí! Hice uno hace dos años, y me gusta tanto el patrón que tenía que coser otro. La única variación que he hecho ha sido añadir goma elástica en el bajo.

La tela la compré el año pasado en Alemania, y era parte de mi reto "12 meses - 12 telas".

¿Creéis que me volveré a coser otro Crystal?

Another Top Crystal (La Maison Victor 2/2017) for me! I did another one two years ago, and I like the pattern so much I wanted to sew one again. The only alteration I did was adding elastic in the hem.

I bought this fabric last summer in Germany, and it was part of my challenge "12 months - 12 fabrics". 

Will I sew another one? Who knows!!

Stars

Dos prendas, para mi sobrina y mi sobrino.

El vestido “Stars in blue Sky” de la Ottobre 6/2015 y la camiseta “Simple new” de la Ottobre 3/2016. Ambos con esta tela de estrellas (también usada aquí y aquí) que compré en Cal Joan hace mil años.

Fueron costuras un poco frustrantes, porque no atiné con la talla. El vestido le iba demasiado grande a la bebé y la camiseta demasiado estrecha… brrrr

Two garments for my niece and my nephew.

The “Stars in blue Sky” Dress from Ottobre 6/2015 and the T-shirt “Simple new” from Ottobre 3/2016. Both with this starred fabric (also used here and here) I bought in Cal Joan ages ago.

It was a bit frustrating because both pieces didn’t turn out the right size. The dress was too big for the baby, and the t-shirt too small… brrrr

Tiras marineras – Maritime Tank Top

¿Un verano sin rayas marineras? ¡No puede ser!

Una camiseta sin mangas para mí, adaptando el patrón de la Plantain (igual que hice hace cuatro años – se ve que me gusta este patrón con rayas…).

La tela principal es de una tienda local y sólo compré medio metro, así que no me llegaba para hacer la camiseta entera. Pero no pasa nada, a mi me encanta complicarme las cosas…

En la parte delantera he puesto un canesú con puntilla vintage de batista bordada, forrado con un trozo de sábana. ¿Os gusta la idea?

Y con esta camiseta tacho una tela más del reto “12 meses – 12 telas”, enlazo en el #mimi del Club de las Malas Costureras, y cierro el blog hasta setiembre.

Summer without maritime stripes? No way!

A tank top for me, Plantain pattern adapted (I did another one four years ago – it seems like I love stripes with this pattern…).

The main fabric is from a local store. I only bought half a meter and I didn’t have enough for the whole top. But no problem, I like doing things complicated…

At the front I did a yoke with some vintage eyelet lace trim and I lined it with a piece of bedsheet. Do you like the idea?

With this top I can cross the fabric off the list of my challenge “12 months – 12 fabrics”, I link at #mimimalascostureras, and I leave the blog on stand by until September.

Little things...

Para una sobrinita y para el bebé de una buena amiga cosí dos conjuntitos. Personalizados con su inicial. Para la peque una diadema a juego.

Además, en verano nació el bebé de un compañero de trabajo y le hice un mono con la misma tela.

Patrones de la Ottobre (1/2016): Pantalones “Diagonal”, adaptación de la camiseta “Skogsdjur”, y adaptación del mono “Koala”.

Tela azul orgánica de Con tela y punto, la gris de una tienda local.

¿¿Y no están para comérselos estos muñequitos??

For my niece and for the baby of a good friend I sewed these two outfits. Customized with their initial. A headband matching for the baby girl.

And in summer a workmate had a baby and I did a romper for him.

Patterns from Ottobre (1/2016):  pants “Diagonal”, “Skogsdjur”-Tee adapted and the “Koala” romper, also adapted.

Blue fabric: organic, from Con tela y punto, the grey one is from a local store.

Aren’t they lovely these dolls???

Ice-cream Tee

 

Estoy haciendo un poco de trampas con mi “12 meses – 12 telas”. Puse la tela plana de helados en la lista, pero no cosí nada durante el verano, que era cuando tenía que haberlo hecho. Estaba destinada a ser algo para las niñas en realidad. Peeero, como no tiene sentido coser ahora algo sin saber si les entrará el verano que viene, me he tenido que coser algo para mí.

Como aún quiero hacer algo con la tela de helados para las nenas en un futuro, he hecho sólo el canesú y el bolsillo con ella (y esta es precisamente la trampa, que no he usado demasiada tela). El punto blanco liso es aprovechado de dos camisetas de propaganda, así que reciclando, ¡sí!

He hecho el patrón yo misma, adaptando el del vestido también mío de hace dos años. Me gustan los detalles: el canesú, los pliegues en la espalda y el bolsillo.

Here I’m cheating a bit with my challenge “12 months – 12 fabrics”. I had this ice-cream fabric on the list, but I didn’t sew it in the summer, like I should. It was actually intended for something for my daughters. But it doesn’t make any sense sewing something summery for them now, because who knows which size they are going to use next year, so, I had to do something for me.

Since I still want to sew something with the ice-cream fabric for my daughters in the future I only did the yoke and pocket with it. The white plain jersey is from two promotional t-shirts and therefore recycled, yay!

I drafted the pattern myself, adapting it from the dress I made also myself two years ago. I like the details: the yoke, the pleats at the back and the pocket.

Plantain Chocolat

Como de costumbre, mi vuelta al cole es algo turbulenta. Un montonazo de cosas para hacer y preparar (al que diga que los profes vivimos muy bien le invito a seguirme un principio de setiembre…). Además, este verano he cosido muy poco y prácticamente sólo regalos. Así que ahora hacía tiempo que no publicaba nada.

¡Pero! Algo que hice antes de irme de vacaciones fue esta Plantain (patrón gratis de Deer and Doe) con la tela (Chat chocolat) que sobró de hacer el Spin Dress de Bubu.

Y nada… ¡Espero poder publicar de nuevo regularmente!

As usual, my “back-to-school-time” is very turbulent. Lots of things to prepare and to be done! Besides, I haven’t sewn that much this summer and they were mostly presents. That’s why I haven’t posted for ages.

But! I did something for me before leaving on holiday: this Plantain T-shirt (free pattern from Deer and Doe) with the fabric (Chat Chocolat) left from sewing the Spin Dress for Bubu.

I hope I can post regularly again!

Enésimo Top Estiu

No necesita muchas presentaciones, el Top Estiu. Es el patrón gratis de Mi Rincón de Mariposas, y ya he cosido unos cuantos.

He contado cinco (quizá me he olvidado de alguno...): uno, dos, tres, cuatro y el de hoy.

Esta está hecha con punto acanalado y le he añadido botones decorativos.

Y siento ser tan escueta, ya sólo queda visitar  Mimi (Malas Costureras).

It doesn’t need much introduction the Top estiu. It’s a free pattern by Mi Rincón de Mariposas, and I have sewed a few.

I’ve counted five (maybe I have forgotten some of them...): one, two, three, four and the one you see today.

It’s done with rib knitting, and I added a false button stand.

T-shirt…

Esta es la historia de una tela quiero y no puedo…

Cuando elegí las telas para el “12 meses – 12 telas” incluí una caqui que me había dado una parienta hace tiempo. Quería coserme un vestido botonado con ella. Debo admitir que ya de antemano me parecía algo sospechosa la tela, pero no fue hasta que no hice la prueba del “frota-frota” que no le salieron esas melenas de pelo. Así que es una gran pena, pero esa tela no se va a convertir en pieza de ropa ¡jamás de los jamases!

This is the story of a fabric that couldn’t be used…

When choosing the fabrics for my “12 months – 12 fabrics” I took a khaki one, I had got from a relative time ago. I wanted to sew a buttoned dress with it. I must say it already looked suspicious to me, but it wasn’t until I did the “rubbing test”, that all the bobbles and hairs came to light… It’s a pity, but this fabric isn’t going to be a garment, never ever!

Cambio de planes y espero que no os importe… Desempolvé una tela de punto de casi el mismo color (es más verde de lo que se ve en las fotos) y que llevaba casi el mismo tiempo en el armario, y esa es la tela que voy a usar para el reto.

Change of plans, and I hope you don’t mind… I took out a jersey, nearly same color, nearly same time being unused in the closet, and that’s going to be my third fabric for the challenge.

Sobre la camiseta… Quería coserme algo nuevo, no más Plantains ni ranglanes, y encontré un patrón interesante en la Burda Style 10/2017: el 116. En realidad se trata de una blusa en tela plana, con volantes en cuello y mangas, pero quitándole éstos aún le quedan detalles especiales: canesú trasero con pliegue, la costura del hombro más baja, pinzas, mangas obispo.

Además le hice el dobladillo con goma, así queda exactamente como la quería.

Now about the T-shirt… I wanted to sew something new, no Plantains, no raglans, and I found an interesting pattern on the Burda Style 10/2017: the 116. It’s actually a blouse for a non-elastic fabric, with ruffles on neck and sleeves, but taking those out it still has some special details: back yoke and pleat, shoulder seam, bust darts, bishop sleeves.

In addition to that, I hemmed the waist with elastic.

Camiseta Sewing Camp

Más costuras sewing-camperas… ¡Estas chicas me hicieron coser un montón! Jajajaja

Inma (@Saiziland) compartió el patrón de esta camiseta y organizó un cose-conmigo.

No escogí tela de punto como se sugería, y en su lugar usé una especie de gasa transparente resbalosa (la misma que usé para el canesú de esta camiseta).

Podéis pasaros por Saiziland si queréis coser vuestra propia versión, que el patrón y el tutorial aún están disponibles.

I didn’t choose jersey as suggested, I used a sheer slippery sort of gauze instead (the same I used for the yoke of this T-shirt).
