Dos prendas, para mi sobrina y mi sobrino.

El vestido “Stars in blue Sky” de la Ottobre 6/2015 y la camiseta “Simple new” de la Ottobre 3/2016. Ambos con esta tela de estrellas (también usada aquí y aquí) que compré en Cal Joan hace mil años.

Fueron costuras un poco frustrantes, porque no atiné con la talla. El vestido le iba demasiado grande a la bebé y la camiseta demasiado estrecha… brrrr

Two garments for my niece and my nephew.

The “Stars in blue Sky” Dress from Ottobre 6/2015 and the T-shirt “Simple new” from Ottobre 3/2016. Both with this starred fabric (also used here and here) I bought in Cal Joan ages ago.

It was a bit frustrating because both pieces didn’t turn out the right size. The dress was too big for the baby, and the t-shirt too small… brrrr

Under the sea (quiet book) - Bajo el mar (libro de fieltro)

A quiet book for the newborn daughter of my blogger-friend @Tag für Ideen. It made no sense sewing baby clothes for her because she does so beautiful things. I decided to do a maritime quiet book since they live in the Austrian mountains, and maybe I could awake their wanderlust (German word, by the way) to visit the Mediterranean this way.

The book has a texture seahorse, a ribbon jellyfish, a hungry whale, a crinkly star, a shell with a shiny pearl, a crab with glitter claws, and a paper boat on the cover.

Hoy os enseño un libro de fieltro que he hecho para mi amiga bloguera @Tag für Ideen. Con las prendas tan bonitas que hace para bebé, no tenía ningún sentido que le cosiera una a su hija recién nacida, así que me decidí por un libro de fieltro. Viven en las montañas de Austria y pensé que quizá los animalitos marinos les despertarían las ganas de venirse al Mediterráneo algún día.

En el libro aparecen: un caballito de mar de textura, una medusa de cintas, una ballena hambrienta, una estrella crujiente, una concha con perla brillante, un cangrejo con pinzas de purpurina y un barquito de papel en la portada.

Lo que es gracioso es que una semana después de que Veronika lo enseñara en su Insta una chica ya se había cosido uno muy igual. Me alegro de servir de inspiración.

Y nada, lo comparto en el Mimi Kids del Club de las Malas Costureras.

Little things...

Para una sobrinita y para el bebé de una buena amiga cosí dos conjuntitos. Personalizados con su inicial. Para la peque una diadema a juego.

Además, en verano nació el bebé de un compañero de trabajo y le hice un mono con la misma tela.

Patrones de la Ottobre (1/2016): Pantalones “Diagonal”, adaptación de la camiseta “Skogsdjur”, y adaptación del mono “Koala”.

Tela azul orgánica de Con tela y punto, la gris de una tienda local.

¿¿Y no están para comérselos estos muñequitos??

For my niece and for the baby of a good friend I sewed these two outfits. Customized with their initial. A headband matching for the baby girl.

And in summer a workmate had a baby and I did a romper for him.

Patterns from Ottobre (1/2016):  pants “Diagonal”, “Skogsdjur”-Tee adapted and the “Koala” romper, also adapted.

Blue fabric: organic, from Con tela y punto, the grey one is from a local store.

Aren’t they lovely these dolls???

Elmer

Dos Elmers en fieltro. Un buen curro cortando trocitos y cosiéndolos. Algo que tenia ganas de hacer hace tiempo, pero nunca encontraba el momento. Aproveché el cumple de Bubu como excusa, aunque no llegué a tiempo…

Así que uno para ella y otro para un amiguito. Sabía que les encantarían a los dos, así que ha sido un placer hacerlos!

Usé el patrón gratis de Birch Fabrics como base (ya he hecho unos cuantos elefantes en el pasado: aquí, aquí y aquí…).

Two Elmers in felt. Quite a lot of work cutting pieces and sewing them together. It was something I wanted to do time ago, but I never found the time…

One for Bubu and one for a good friend of her. I knew they were going to love the elephant, so it was a real pleasure to sew them.

I used the free pattern of Birch Fabrics as a base (I have sewn a few elephants for babies in the past: here, here and here…).

Bags & Elephants…

Pues eso, bolsitas y elefantes… que cosí hace tiempo, pero no había ni enseñado… Los conjuntos fueron regalos a recién nacidas.

Bags and elephants, yes… I sewed them long time ago, but I never posted about them. They were gifts for newborn baby girls.

Y estos dos eran para un nene y una nena. El de la nena aún está esperando conocerla (y ella cumplirá pronto 1 añito… qué desastre…)

And these two were for a baby boy and for a baby girl. The one for the girl is still waiting to meet her… (and she will soon turn 1… what a disaster…)

Koala (Ottobre)

¡Y más ropa para la pequeñaja de la familia!

Algo fresquito y práctico para que se mueva con toda libertad, eso necesitaba.

El patrón “Koala” (Ottobre 1/2016) me venía perfecto haciéndole algunas modificaciones: acortar perneras y en lugar de puño en el tobillo, dobladillo con la aguja doble.

No le hice el bolsillo delantero porque pensé que  el estampado de la tela no necesitaba “distracciones”.

¿Sabéis que esta es la tela orgánica que gané en el sorteo de @majapuu? ¡Les dejé sorprenderme y este fue el resultado! ¡¡Un combo completamente finlandés (patrón + tela)!! :-D

Los que me seguís en Instagram sabéis que he hecho algo más con esta tela… la semana que viene más con ella aquí en el blog.

And more clothes for the littlest one in the family!

Something cool and practical for her to move freely, that’s what she needed.

The pattern named “Koala” (Ottobre 1/2016) was the perfect one, doing some alterations: shortening the legs and instead of cuffs, I did a normal hem with the double needle.

I didn’t sew the frontal pocket because I thought the print of the fabric didn’t need any “distractions”.

Did you know I won this organic fabric on a give away runned by @majapuu? I let them surprise me and this was the result! A complete Finnish combo (pattern + fabric)!! :-D

And the ones who follow me on Instagram know I also did something else with the fabric… next week more with it here on the blog.
