Little things...

Para una sobrinita y para el bebé de una buena amiga cosí dos conjuntitos. Personalizados con su inicial. Para la peque una diadema a juego.

Además, en verano nació el bebé de un compañero de trabajo y le hice un mono con la misma tela.

Patrones de la Ottobre (1/2016): Pantalones “Diagonal”, adaptación de la camiseta “Skogsdjur”, y adaptación del mono “Koala”.

Tela azul orgánica de Con tela y punto, la gris de una tienda local.

For my niece and for the baby of a good friend I sewed these two outfits. Customized with their initial. A headband matching for the baby girl.

And in summer a workmate had a baby and I did a romper for him.

Patterns from Ottobre (1/2016):  pants “Diagonal”, “Skogsdjur”-Tee adapted and the “Koala” romper, also adapted.

Blue fabric: organic, from Con tela y punto, the grey one is from a local store.

Falda pantalón – Coulottes

Hace cosa de unas semanas estaba yo andando por la ciudad y hacía tanto calor, que entré a respirar un poco en una tienda de ropa archiconocida con el aire acondicionado a todo trapo. Hacía mil años que no pisaba una tienda de ropa de mujer (hará esos mismos mil años que no me he comprado nada para mi), y tengo que reconocer que me sentí bastante incómoda, incluso noté que el vigilante me miraba raro, como si sospechara que era una infiltrada, jajajaja.

Entonces me fijé en una falda pantalón floreada muy mona. Menos de 10 euros y ni siquiera estaba rebajada. 

Debió ser el calor o qué sé yo, el caso es que no me la llevé. Bueno, lo que pasó es que vi a una chica china haciéndolas (made in China ponía), sí sí, a lo “en ocasiones veo muertos” de “El sexto sentido”, y se me quitaron las ganas. Va a ser que el “qué sé yo” era mi conciencia moral.

Total, que al llegar a casa encontré la tela perfecta para copietear (ahí dejé la ética en la puerta) la falda a mi manera.

Usé un patrón de un mono del libro “Tuniques et robes. Tome 2” como guía, para la curva del tiro básicamente. Aquí me reí de lo grande que parecía antes de hacer los pliegues. Cosí cinco trabillas para el cinturón, pero no bolsillos… :_( Fui tan rápido al coser que me los olvidé, y eso que me había hecho el patrón para ellos…

¡Y ya está!

Ahora de cabeza a RUMS-E, RUMS-D  y a “Yo coso flores” de Pandielleando.

About three weeks ago I was walking in the city and it was so hot that I had to take a fresh breath in a well air-conditioned clothes shop (I haven’t been buying anything for me for ages, so I felt quite awkward, I must say).

There I spotted some nice floral coulottes. Less than 10 Euro, and not even on sale! 

It must have been the heat or something, because I didn’t take them. I imagined a Chinese girl sewing them (they were made in China), and I no longer wanted them. Let’s say “the heat or something” was actually my moral conscience.

Once home, I found the perfect fabric on my stash to sew them myself.

I used a romper pattern of the book “Tuniques et robes. Tome 2” as a guide, for the rise curve basically. Here I laughed at how big it looked like before the pleats. I sewed five belt loops but no pockets :_( I did the whole so quickly that I forgot them…

And that’s all! Do you like it?

Bunny pants (Ottobre adapt.)

Los calcetines de bebé son bastante odiosos, todo el día perdiéndose… Por eso cuando a Mini Bubu le quedaron pequeños todos los pantaloncitos con pies, tuve que hacerle unos.

Usé el patrón “Bunny” de la Ottobre 6/2015 para hacerlos. En realidad el patrón es de un buzo, pero calqué la mitad y andando.

[Por cierto, las chicas del Blog de Fans de Ottobre están organizando un cose-conmigo del buzo entero para la semana que viene. ¡Estad alerta!]

Volviendo al tema, como Mini Bubu está llevando la chaqueta Wooly Star un montón (lavar-poner-lavar-poner…), aproveché para hacer los pantalones a conjunto.

¡Y ella más feliz que un ocho!

I don’t like baby socks, they get lost very easily. So, when all Mini-Bubu’s footed pants she was wearing became too small, I had to sew a new pair for her…

I used the “Bunny” pattern in Ottobre 6/2015. It’s actually a footed PJ, but I traced half of the pattern.

[By the way, the girls of the Blog de Fans de Ottobre are organizing a sew along of the whole PJ beginning next week. ]

And because Mini Bubu is wearing the Wooly Star a lot (washing-wearing-washing-wearing…) I had to do the pants matching.

Now is she happy as a cloud!

Loose Fit (Ottobre)

Podría haber hecho un “cortar-pegar” de la entrada de Kiwa Kawaii sobre sus Loose Fit de Ottobre, porque tuvo los mismos problemas que yo con ellos, pero va venga, que escribo la mía… ;-)

Partimos de la base de que se llaman Loose Fit, o sea que acepto que tienen que quedar algo holgados, pero esto es exagerado…

Si los hubiera hecho según patrón serían exageradamente “cagaos” o cortísimos, ya no sé. Yo creo que en las fotos de la revista no se aprecia cómo son realmente.

¿Qué cambié? Para empezar tiré de ellos hacia arriba para que quedara un tiro decente, pero claro, vigilando que no quedaran excesivamente cortos por abajo, porque tendría que añadir tela simulando un dobladillo externo… y un dobladillo de estos de un palmo como que no…  finalmente corté de la cintura.

Siguen siendo demasiado “cagaos” para mi gusto, pero como son hiper cómodos me conformo.

La tela, viscosa, es del mercado. Necesitaba dos retales y por suerte los encontré. Como siempre, bien baratos (menos de 3€ los dos).

¿Aceptamos pulpo?

I could simply copy-paste Kiwa Kawaii’s post about her version of the Loose Fit pants of the Ottobre, because we had the same troubles with them, but I’ll write my own… ;-)

If I had done it like the pattern says, they would have turned out too short or too baggy… I think the pics on the magazine don’t show how the pants really are.

What did I changed? First of all I cut a few centimeters from the waist, so that the rise was shorter (I don’t like pants when they are too baggy), but then they became too short of course… I had to add a piece of fabric that looks like a faux cuffed hem.

They are still too baggy for me, but since they are extremely comfy, I’ll accept them as they are!!

The fabric, rayon, is from the market. I needed two remnants and luckily I found them in the pile! Very cheap, as usual (less than 3€ both).

Como no, yo también necesitaba pantalones para mi pijama, así que me los he inventado. Pies no quería en los míos, pero sí le he añadido puños para que no se arremanguen al dormir.

I also needed pants for my pyjama, and I drafted the pattern myself too. Of course I didn’t want mine to be footed, but I added ankle cuffs, so that they don’t roll up while sleeping.

Como ya dije el martes, tela calentita azul de una tienda local y la de lunares de Cal Joan. 

Y esto de aquí abajo es mi regalo de Reyes, muuchos snaps de Snapeando (es que las fotos son de cuando abríamos los regalos, aunque no se vea...)

Mini Osha (Pattern & Sewalong by MRdM) + Pyjama Pants for Bubu

Este es el segundo patrón que compartió, la Mini Osha.

Sip, he hecho una versión pijama… 

Moreover, I wanted Bubu to have footed pyjama pants (sleeping with socks is not that comfortable for the little ones, is it?). So I “designed” my own pattern copying it from a pair she is currently wearing.

The sole of the foot has the velvety part inside, so that it feels nicer for Bubu to walk on it.

Además, quería que Bubu tuviera unos pantalones con pie (dormir con calcetines no les debe resultar muy cómodo, ¿no?), así que “diseñé” mi propio patrón a partir de un par de pijamas y pantalones que está usando ahora. 

La suela del pie tiene la parte suave por dentro, para que a Bubu le resulte más agradable al caminar. 

The blue fabric is a sort of velvety jersey, the typical on winter pyjamas.

I got it cheaper than marked in a local Morroccan shop, because I was indecisive between this one (about 3-4€ / meter) and another (about 2€ /m, the price I paid at the end). And the man even gave me the rest of the fabric piece for free… it’s really funny the way they do business… he gave me a lot of meters at the end that day…

The dotted one is jersey from Cal Joan. We stopped by on our way to our crazy “Overlock Meeting”.

La tela azul es una especie de punto peludo (punto pastorcillo o borreguito ¡según las locas blogueras costureras!), el típico de los pijamas de invierno.

Lo compré más barato de lo que marcaba en una tienda local marroquí, porque estaba indecisa entre este (unos 3-4€ / metro) y otro (unos 2€/m, el precio que me hizo final). El hombre incluso me regaló el resto de la pieza… es muy divertido la manera que tienen de hacer negocios… me regaló un montón de metros ese día…

La tela de lunares es de Cal Joan. Paramos en Martorell el día de la “Quedada overlockera” y nos llevamos media tienda. 

So useful was the Meeting for me that I was able to sew this pyjama with my overlock! Yayyy! The first thing I sew with it! And because I’m so proud of it, I show the pyjama inside out! Hahahaha

Fue tan útil para mi la “Quedada” ¡que he sido capaz de coser este pijama con la over! ¡Ole! ¡La primera cosa que coso con ella! Y como estoy muy orgullosa del resultado os pongo la foto del pijama del revés… jajajaja
