Retro Swimmers (Ottobre)

Aquí un bañador que Bubu necesitaba. Por suerte tenía el patrón ya calcado de cuando ¡hace dos años le hice este vestido!

Aún así he tenido que entrar un poco por aquí, un poco por allí… ¡esta niña es un fideo!

Y con esto gasto (parte de) una de mis “12 meses – 12 telas”. Ya sólo me queda enlazar en Fans de Ottobre.

Here a swimsuit Bubu needed. Luckily I had the pattern already traced. I did this dress with it two years ago!

I still had to take in a bit here a bit there, though.

And I’m done with another one of my “12 months – 12 fabrics”!

Pleated Playsuit

El verano pasado Bubu se quería poner este mono que le cosí hace cuatro años.

Evidentemente era demasiado pequeño para ella, pero aun así se lo puso como un par de veces. Entonces pensé que lo suyo era coserle uno nuevo si tan fan era de los monos.

Escogí el "Pleated Playsuit" de Elegance & Elephants que me encanta. De hecho  mini Bubu estuvo llevando este que cosí hace tiempo con el mismo patrón, quizá de ahí viniera el interés de Bubu por esa prenda de ropa…

La tela de zorros es de telas.es y la naranja lisa reciclada.

¡Y como no hay más que contar, me despido hasta la próxima!

 

Last summer Bubu wanted to wear this playsuit I made for her four years ago. It was clearly too small for her but she insisted and insisted, and actually wore it about two days or so. Then I thought I could sew a new one if she was so keen on rompers.

I chose the free pattern “Pleated Playsuit” by Elegance & Elephants because I love it. (Mini Bubu has been wearing this version I did for Bubu time ago).

The foxes fabric is from telas.es and the orange one is recycled.

And that’s all! 

Bastidores decorativos – Deco hoops

Esto es un “culo-veo-culo-quiero” de I love Kutchi.

Bastidores con telas bonitas como decoración. En este caso decoran un trozo de pared del cuarto de Bubu, allí donde guarda los libros que leemos antes de dormir.

La tela del sistema solar y los bastidores son de I love Kutchi.

La de Frida de Desfilart.

He cerrado la parte de atrás con fieltro. Sí, ya sé que no se ve, pero yo tengo que saber que está bien acabado.

This is something I saw by I love Kutchi and I wanted to do immediately.

Embroidery hoops with lovely fabrics as decoration. In this case it decorates a piece of wall in Bubu’s bedroom, there where she stores the books we are reading before sleeping.

The solar system and the hoops are from I love Kutchi.

The Frida is from Desfilart.

I’ve done the back of the hoop with felt. Yes, it’s something no-one sees, but I know it’s well-finished.

Enésimo Top Estiu

No necesita muchas presentaciones, el Top Estiu. Es el patrón gratis de Mi Rincón de Mariposas, y ya he cosido unos cuantos.

He contado cinco (quizá me he olvidado de alguno...): uno, dos, tres, cuatro y el de hoy.

Esta está hecha con punto acanalado y le he añadido botones decorativos.

Y siento ser tan escueta, ya sólo queda visitar  Mimi (Malas Costureras).

It doesn’t need much introduction the Top estiu. It’s a free pattern by Mi Rincón de Mariposas, and I have sewed a few.

I’ve counted five (maybe I have forgotten some of them...): one, two, three, four and the one you see today.

It’s done with rib knitting, and I added a false button stand.

Funda de la ScanNcut – Cover for my ScanNcut

¿Puedo escribir sobre algo que cosí hace cuatro años ya? La verdad es que es un poco penoso…

Es lo que hay… Aquí está la funda que le hice a mi ScanNcut. Quería que conjuntara con las otras dos fundas de máquina que tenía entonces, así que usé un retal sobrante de haber hecho la segunda funda.

La primera funda me la regaló Laura de @Con mis manitas, así que la combinación de telas y la idea del volante son suyas. ¡El mérito a quien lo merece!

Can I show you something I did about four years ago and I hadn’t posted yet? It’s quite embarrassing…

Well, this is the cover for my ScanNcut. I wanted it to be matching the other two machine covers I had then, so I used a remnant left from doing the second cover.

I got the first cover gifted by Laura @Con mis manitas, so the fabric combo and the ruffle are actually her ideas.

Y para compensar la costura vieja os enseño el último vinilo que hice. Es el “piedra, papel, tijeras, lagarto, Spock” de The Big Bang Theory. Básicamente un CVCQ, ya que he visto a montones por la blogosfera, pero claro, necesitábamos la nuestra en casa, bueno, mi marido la necesitaba, fue en regalo para él, jejejeje.

I’ll show you the last vinyl I did, to make up for this “old” sewing project I’ve shown you today. It’s the “Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock” from The Big Bang Theory. I’ve seen so many on the blogosphere, but we just needed one at home, hehehehe, well, my hubby needed, it was a present for him.

Pues ahora a compartirlo en Mimi (Malas Costureras).

Esta es la historia de una tela quiero y no puedo…

Cuando elegí las telas para el “12 meses – 12 telas” incluí una caqui que me había dado una parienta hace tiempo. Quería coserme un vestido botonado con ella. Debo admitir que ya de antemano me parecía algo sospechosa la tela, pero no fue hasta que no hice la prueba del “frota-frota” que no le salieron esas melenas de pelo. Así que es una gran pena, pero esa tela no se va a convertir en pieza de ropa ¡jamás de los jamases!

This is the story of a fabric that couldn’t be used…

When choosing the fabrics for my “12 months – 12 fabrics” I took a khaki one, I had got from a relative time ago. I wanted to sew a buttoned dress with it. I must say it already looked suspicious to me, but it wasn’t until I did the “rubbing test”, that all the bobbles and hairs came to light… It’s a pity, but this fabric isn’t going to be a garment, never ever!

Cambio de planes y espero que no os importe… Desempolvé una tela de punto de casi el mismo color (es más verde de lo que se ve en las fotos) y que llevaba casi el mismo tiempo en el armario, y esa es la tela que voy a usar para el reto.

Change of plans, and I hope you don’t mind… I took out a jersey, nearly same color, nearly same time being unused in the closet, and that’s going to be my third fabric for the challenge.

Sobre la camiseta… Quería coserme algo nuevo, no más Plantains ni ranglanes, y encontré un patrón interesante en la Burda Style 10/2017: el 116. En realidad se trata de una blusa en tela plana, con volantes en cuello y mangas, pero quitándole éstos aún le quedan detalles especiales: canesú trasero con pliegue, la costura del hombro más baja, pinzas, mangas obispo.

Además le hice el dobladillo con goma, así queda exactamente como la quería.

Now about the T-shirt… I wanted to sew something new, no Plantains, no raglans, and I found an interesting pattern on the Burda Style 10/2017: the 116. It’s actually a blouse for a non-elastic fabric, with ruffles on neck and sleeves, but taking those out it still has some special details: back yoke and pleat, shoulder seam, bust darts, bishop sleeves.

In addition to that, I hemmed the waist with elastic.

Vestido de cumple para Bubu - Birthday dress for Bubu!

Hace unos meses gané un sorteo de Chatchocolat. Me tocaron dos telas orgánicas fantásticas y un patrón de Madeit Patterns: el Spin Dress.

Bubu fue la que escogió la tela azul marino (te daban a escoger entre la azul, una verde y una roja). Creo que yo me habría quedado la roja, pero como Bubu es quien la iba a llevar, pues tenía todo el derecho de elegir, ¿verdad? XD

Last winter I won the giveaway Chatchocolat organized. I got two fantastic organic fabrics and one pattern by Madeit Patterns: the Spin Dress.

It was Bubu who chose the dark blue fabric (there was this blue one, a green and a red one to choose from). I would have taken the red one, I guess, but since she was the one to wear it, she had the right to choose, hadn’t she? XD

 

¡El Spin Dress es genial! Lleva una falda de capa, así que el efecto torbellino ¡está asegurado! Y el patrón incluye bolsillos, cosa imprescindible para cualquiera.

No hice variación alguna al vestido, solamente añadí FOE plateado debajo del remate del cuello. Le da un toque.

The Spin Dress is fantastic! It has the perfect twirl!! And it has pockets too, a must have for everyone!

I didn’t do any alterations on the pattern, the only thing I added was some silver FOE under the neckline binding. I think it makes a nice detail.

Me alegro de haber usado otra de mis “12 meses – 12 telas”. En realidad ya he usado cuatro, pero es la segunda que enseño, ¡tendréis que ser pacientes!

Y con esto y un bizcocho, me voy al Menuda Inspiración… ya, no rima...
