Sudaderas – Sweatshirts (Ottobre)

Juro que nunca planeo hacer prendas conjuntadas, ni para las niñas entre sí, y aún menos para ir las tres iguales. De hecho, si me preguntas te diré que no pienso hacerlo nunca (más). Peeeeeero… ¿qué hacer cuando te has cosido algo para ti y aún te queda tela para hacer algo para la mayor, se lo coses, y luego aún te sobra para hacer algo a la Bubu pequeña?

Pues sí, acabas haciendo tres sudaderas idénticas…

Patrón: Bla-Bla de la Ottobre 1/2016 (añadiendo puños).

Telas: Cal Joan.

Aquí mi versión adulta, por si queréis ver más de lo mismo… jajajaja

(¡Y que conste que nunca nos ponemos las tres la sudadera el mismo día!)

I swear I never plan to do matching garments, neither for my daughters, nor for the three of us. In fact, I always say I will never ever do that (again).  Buuuuut… what to do when you sew something for you, and you still have enough fabric left to do something for the girls?

Paz visual – Visual peace

Me gustan las cosas ordenadas y minimalistas. Esto es tarea ardua con niñas en casa, siempre hay trastos por el medio. Para guardar los disfraces y accesorios de jugar, compré dos cestos de fieltro gordo el año pasado, pero ahora estaba cansada de ver cosas de colorinchis sobresaliendo. Necesitaba más orden y paz visual (¿soy rara?).

Pensé que sería una buena idea coser una tapa a los cestos. Algo que además me sirviera de cojín para cuando nos sentamos en el suelo. Y dicho y hecho, porque la verdad es que es algo bien simple.

Dos círculos con el diámetro de los cestos. Por un lado polipiel negra (vista aquí), por el otro hule (visto aquí), y guata en medio. Cosido con la remalladora.

Como se trata de algo que he hecho puramente para mi paz mental, comparto en #mimi (Malas Costureras).

 

I like things neat and minimalistic. That’s a bit complicated with little kids, there is always stuff around. To store all the costumes and accessories of the girls I bought two thick felt baskets last year, but now I was tired of seeing all colorful bits and pieces popping out of the baskets. I needed more visual peace and order (am I strange?).

I thought it was a good idea to sew a lid for the baskets, something we could use as a floor cushion at the same time. Said and done, because it’s really an easy thing to do.

Two circles with the diameter of the baskets. One side black synthetic leather (seen here), the other one oilcloth (seen here) and wadding in between. All sewn together with the overlock.

Because it’s something I’ve done for my mental peace, I share it at #mimi (Malas Costureras).

Estrellas - Stars...

Ya hacía tiempo que estaba esta tela de estrellas ocupando espacio en el armario y ya estaba destinada a ser una sudadera para Bubu.

Le pregunté qué color quería para los puños y escogió rosa, por más que yo insistiera en verde oliva… el cliente manda al final, ¿no?

Mezclé dos patrones de la misma Ottobre (4/2016), “Drops” y “Doggy”. Porque el primero tiene puño en la cintura, y el otro no tiene bolsillo y tiene la capucha forrada.

Como podéis ver, yo sigo cosiéndole todo una talla más grande, ¡jajajaja! Me siento bien si sé que va a llevarlo dos temporadas…

I’ve had this fabric for a while and it was time I sewed a winter sweatshirt for Bubu.

I asked her which color she wanted for the ribbing and she chose pink, although I insisted about choosing olive green… but custom-made is custom-made, right?

I mixed two patterns of the same Ottobre magazine (4/2016), the ones called “Drops” and “Doggy”. Because the first one has ribbing on the waist, and the other no pocket and a lined hood.

As you can see, I keep doing everything one size bigger than needed… hahahaha I feel better knowing she will use it two seasons…

New Bohéme (Ottobre)

Ya era hora de que cosiera este vestido. Le tenía ganas desde que lo vi en la Ottobre 5/2014. Y además lo quería en el mismo color, así que todo gris para mí.

El único cambio que le he hecho al patrón son las mangas. Las originales me quedaban demasiado cortas, así que le añadí puños con la misma tela.

¡10 puntos para las que la semana pasada adivinaron de qué patrón se trataba!

Ya solo me queda compartirlo en Mimi (Malas Costureras), en Fans de Ottobre y en Our Sewing World.

It was time I sewed this dress. I wanted to, since I saw it on the Ottobre 5/2014. And I liked it in exactly the same color, so, plain grey for me!

The only change I made on the pattern were the sleeves. The original ones were too short for me, so I added cuffs.

10 points to the ones who last week guessed which pattern it was!

Collar con borlas – Tassel necklace

Una mañana enterita hacienda borlas y ¡voilà!, ¡mi nuevo collar favorito!

Y la semana que viene os enseño la prenda que se intuye en la foto. ¿Alguien adivina patrón?

One whole morning doing tassels and voilà!, my new favorite necklace!

Puppentrage Ida: mochilita para muñecas – doll carrier

Esta vuelve a ser una costura derivada del Sewing Camp. Maquinando Patrones trajo el patrón gratis de Zapperlott y cosió una mochilita para sus hijas. Yo quise hacer lo mismo pero no tuve tiempo.

También en el Sewing Camp, Esther (@El didal al dit) me regaló la tela de flores, y pensé que me iba a ir bien para este proyecto.

No hagáis mucho caso a la primera foto, donde parece que le queda pequeña.  Bubu se puso la mochila y estaba a la medida de Mini Bubu, en realidad se puede hacer más grande con los snaps.

Ahora las Bubus están contentas porteando las muñecas como yo hice con ellas, y yo más feliz que una perdiz porque ya he usado ¡la primera de mis “12 meses – 12 telas”!

¡A ver si le doy brillo al reto, que este mes aún no he cosido con la segunda tela!

 

This is again a sewing project resulting from the Sewing Camp. Maquinando Patrones came with this free pattern by Zapperlott to the camp and sewed there a doll carrier for her daughters. I wanted to do the same, but I didn’t have the time.

Also at the camp, Esther (@El didal al dit) gave me the flower fabric and I thought it was perfect for the carrier.

Now the Bubus can happily carry their dolls like mama did with them, and I’m glad to have used the first of my “12 months - 12 fabrics”!

Amigo Invisible Sewingcampero - Sewing Camp Gift Swap (2)

Hoy os enseño lo que le hice a Mi sol de colores para el intercambio de regalos sewingcampero. Como os dije, cada una tenia que regular tres cosas: algo cosido, algo para crear y algo para degustar.

Today I show you what I did for Mi sol de colores for the Gift Swap of the sewing Camp. As I told you everyone of us had to give three things: something sewn, something to create, and something to taste.

Primero de todo me hacía ilusión coser una funda de e-book que sale en la revista Sabrina Nähen que me compré en Austria en verano. Fue más complicado de lo que me imaginaba, con esas capas de entretela rígida y el fieltro que le puse para que quedara mullido por dentro.

Después pensé que era poca cosa y le hice un llavero con su inicial.

First of all I wanted to sew an e-book case from the sewing magazine Sabrina Nähen I bought in Austria last Summer. It was trickier than I thought with all that stiff interfacing.

Then I thought it wasn’t enough with that and I did a key ring with her initial.

Para “crear” le regalé dos metros de tela de puño, una salmón y otra caqui; algunos botones y etiquetas de madera y cremalleras.

To “create” I gave her two meters ribbing fabric, one salmon one khaki; some buttons and wooden labels and zippers.

Y para “degustar” le regale una caja de galletas hechas aquí cerca de donde vivo.

And to “taste” I gave her a box of biscuits produced here, near where I live.
