Semana íntima by Kiwa Kawaii: Salvaslips de tela – Cloth Panty Liners

Habrá quien piense que nos hemos vuelto locas… pero la semana que viene empieza la “semana íntima” en el blog de Kiwa Kawaii, y ya hay un montón de bloggers y no bloggers esperando para coser compresas y salvaslips de tela.

Yo he tenido el honor de probar el patrón de los salvaslips.

Tienen buena pinta, ¿no?

No miréis muy de cerca las telas que he utilizado… he reciclado un trozo de toalla, una camiseta y he usado una tela bastante horrible que compré en un pack a ciegas.

There might be someone who’ll think we’ve all gone crazy… but next week begins the “semana íntima” at Kiwa Kawaii’s blog, and there are a lot of bloggers and non-bloggers waiting to sew cloth pads and panty liners.

I was able to test the panty liners pattern.

They look good, don’t they?

Don’t look too close at the fabrics, I recycled part of a towel, a T-shirt and I used a quite horrible fabric I got in a “surprise pack”.

Cochecito de muñecas – Doll stroller

 

La tela original del cochecito de muñecas de Bubu dijo basta… Así que tocaba coserle un nuevo asiento.

Gift Card Holders and Key Rings – Tarjeteros y llaveros de regalo

Hoy vengo con algo que debí posterar por -ejemm- Navidades... Regalitos del Tió para las chicas de la familia.

11 tarjeteros, o mini neceseres para lo que sea, se pueden usar de monedero de emergencia también. Y 11 llaveros o colgantes para bolso. Todos en telas conjuntadas y con fieltro como entretela.

I'm sorry to post this that late... Christmas presents for the girls of the family.

11 card holders, or actually small pouches for anything, they can even be used as an emergency purse. And 11 key rings or bag pendants. All in matching fabrics and with felt as interfacing.

Bubu hizo el “control de calidad” al final (síííí, vio los regalos antes de darlos, ¿es malo? ¿Cómo lo hacéis vosotras?).

Abrió todos los tarjeteros –snaps aprovados!- y puso los llaveros correspondientes dentro. Dijo que eran corazones sin decirle nada, así que otro punto para mí, no me han quedado amorfos. :-D

Bubu did the “quality control” at the end (yesss, she saw the presents before giving them, is that bad? How do you do it?).

She opened all card holders – snaps approved!- and put the matching key rings inside. She said they were hearts, so one more point for me, the shape is recognizable. :-D

Vestido pre-mamá – Maternity dress (from Plantain)

Mi primer post desde la cama… No recuerdo la última vez que tuve la gripe (quizá fuera cuando era pequeña, en realidad no la cojo nunca), pero claro, tenía que pillarla justamente ahora que (¡sorpresa!) estoy embarazada.

My first post from bed… I can’t remember the last time I got flu (maybe it was when I was little), but I just had to catch one now that (surprise!) I’m pregnant… brrrr…

Vayamos al grano…

He usado el patrón de la Plantain para el cuerpo del vestido, cortando bajo el pecho. Los vestidos imperio son mis pre-mamá favoritos, y además así podré usarlo después de dar a luz. Unir la falda (dos rectángulos) ha sido pan comido.

Algunos detalles que he añadido: una botonera falsa (con botones vintage de mi abuela), puños (y la línea del dobladillo de la falda), y el cinturón de la espalda. Todo ello hecho con el reverso de la tela. Ah, y el cuerpo está todo forradito y bien acabado por dentro (pero de esto no tengo fotos, sorry).

Well, let’s get straight to the point…

I made the dress using the Plantain pattern for the bodice, just cutting it under the bust. Empire waist dresses are my favourite maternity ones, and I’ll be able to wear it after giving birth. Atatching the skirt (two rectangles) was very easy.

Some details I added: false button stand (with vintage buttons from grandma), cuffs (and hemline), and the belt for the back. All of them done with the reverse of the fabric. Oh, and the bodice is fully lined (but no pics of that, sorry). 

Me enamoré de la tela cuando la vi. Es un punto, super calentito pero fino. ¿Qué nombre tiene? ¿Punto de suéter? Es de la tienda marroquí: 1,50€ / metro.

I fell in love with the fabric when I saw it. It’s a knitted one, really warm but thin. What’s the name for that? Sweater jersey? It’s from the Moroccan local shop: 1,50€ / meter.
