Outside in a nightgown – A la calle en camisón… (Maratón Telaria week 3)

Third week of the Marathon!! This time the theme was “Sweet Dreams” and we all had to sew one same pattern. Well, actually, we had to choose if we wanted to sew a nightgown or PJs. The pattern was provided by Angeles (Moldes de vestidos), who makes personalized patterns with your measurements.

¡Tercera semana del Maratón! Esta vez el tema era “A dormir” y teníamos que coser todas el mismo patrón. Bueno, en realidad teníamos que escoger entre camisón y pijama. El patrón lo proporcionaba Angeles (Moldes de vestidos), que hace patrones personalizados con vuestras medidas, ¡una pasada!

Como podéis comprobar escogí camisón (¿seré la única? me ha parecido ver sólo pijamas hasta ahora…)

I used fabric from the market again. I fell in love with the little hearts when I saw them! 

I jazzed it up with dark blue rick-rack, and did the button hole in the same color.

Usé tela del Mercado otra vez. ¡Me enamoré de los corazoncitos cuando los vi!

Tuneado con ondulina azul marino, y ojales del mismo color.

Once I tried the nightgown on Bubu I thought it was a pity that it stayed at home, so she went outside in it!

I tried with a ribbon to take it in at the waist (although the pattern is so personalized that you really don’t need anything, it just fits perfect), and I sewed it only at the front. This way you can tie a bow at the back.

Una vez puesto pensé que sería una pena que la creación se quedara en casa, ¡así que Bubu salió a la calle en camisón!

Como último detalle, probé con una cinta a modo de cinturón (aunque como el patrón es personalizado, en realidad no se necesita nada, no le queda ancho ni mucho menos), y se la cosí en la parte delantera. Así se puede atar un lazo en la espalda.

Underwear for the King – Gallumbos para el rey de la casa (Kalzon Day by Naii)

Naii is right, our “boys” are the great forgotten ones!! So she proposed to sew something useful for them: a pair of boxer briefs. She provides two pattern sizes (46/XXL and 42) and the tutorial to sew them. Fantastic!

So here you are!

I made the size 42 (although I have no idea what’s the real size he wears... how it’s this possible!?), and it fits well!

I went to the market to find some knits and from all the man had to sell that day, this was the most “masculine” print I could find. I don’t really like it to sew something for me, like a T-shirt or similar, and the remnant is huge (for only 1,40€ it’s not a bad deal…), so I’m afraid my hubby is going to get tons of them.

Well, maybe I’m going to sew some knickers for me with it…

[The brown (light weight jersey) and the black (French terry) knits are from a local shop, 4€ / meter.]

¡Así que aquí están!

Los he hecho en talla 42 (aunque no tengo ni idea de qué talla usa él realmente… ¿cómo es posible!?), y le van bien.

Fui al mercado a por la tela, y de todo lo que tenía el hombre ese día, esta era la más “masculina”. No me gusta para coserme nada para mi, tipo camiseta ni nada por el estilo, y el retal es inmenso (por 1,40€ no está mal, ¡eh!), ¡así que me temo que mi nene va a tener toneladas de calzoncillos iguales!

Bueno, no descarto hacerme algunas braguitas, ahora que me he metido en el tema…

[Las telas marrón (jersey ligero) y negra (sudadera de verano) son de una tienda local, 4€ / metro.]

Rollneck T-shirts – Camisetas de cuello alto (Maratón Telaria week 2)

The second week of the Marathon has come! Our theme was “Knits” this time.

You got a sneak peek two weeks ago, I don’t know if you guessed correctly…!! ;-)

What Bubu really needed was some rollneck T-shirts for the autumn and winter (now that it seems that Fall is coming today at last!! nearly 30°C yesterday aren’t quite normal for the end of October…).

¡La segunda semana del maratón ya está aquí! Esta vez el tema eran las telas de punto.

Os hice una avanzadilla hace dos semanas, ¡no sé si adivinasteis lo que eran! ;-)

Lo que Bubu necesitaba realmente eran algunas camisetas con cuello alto para el otoño y el invierno (ahora que parece que el otoño por fin ha llegado hoy… casi 30°C no creo que sean muy normales a finales de octubre…).

I drafted the pattern myself. I promise, I’m sharing the pattern (size: 18 months) and a tutorial, when this sewing craziness is over!!

The trickiest part of it was the neck. I did two different versions of it in the two shirts. The green one can be worn folded or unfolded, the starred one can only be worn folded, since it’s sewn together.

He hecho el patrón yo misma. ¡¡Prometo compartirlo, junto a un tutorial, cuando esta locura costuril haya acabado!!

La parte más complicada (bueno, en realidad no es nada complicada) es el cuello. Hice dos versiones distintas en las dos camisetas. El cuello de la verde se puede doblar o no doblar, el de la “estrellada” sólo se puede llevar doblado, ya que está cosido así.

I thought about putting some snaps but I didn’t want them to be seen, so I sewed some invisible snaps instead.

I only put one normal snap in the starred T-shirt because I ran out of the transparent ones and it wasn’t going to be seen. But next time I’m using kam snaps, it’s easier!!

Primero pensé en poner unos snaps para abrocharlas, pero no quería que se viesen, así que cosí unos cierres “invisibles” en su lugar.

Sólo puse un snap normal en la camiseta de estrellitas porqué se me acabaron los otros y porque en realidad no se ve al estar doblado el cuello. Pero bueno, la próxima vez le pongo kam snaps a todo, ¡¡que para eso es más fácil!!

The green fabric (jersey without elastane) was formerly a T-shirt, and since I recycled felt and another white T-shirt for the appliqués, this T-shirts deserve a place in the Upcycling-Dienstag.

The starred fabric (jersey with elastane) is the one I bought in Germany this summer.

La tela verde (jersey sin elastano) era de una camiseta, y como también reciclé trocitos de fieltro y otra camiseta blanca para hacer las aplicaciones, estos cuellos altos se merecen un puesto en el Upcycling-Dienstag.

La tela de estrellas (jersey con elastano) es la que compré en Alemania este verano.
