Y más libélulas – And more dragonflies…

¿Adivinasteis lo que quería Bubu cuando vio la tela con la que hacía mi blusa, no? Pues libélulas para ella también, ¡¡claro!!

Por suerte la tela tenía el estampado en distintos colores, de esta manera tenemos la misma blusita pero sin ir conjuntadas totalmente.

La parte de tela que usé para la suya estaba intacta, así que no tuve que hacer puzles como cuando corté la mía. De hecho, la hice de una pieza, cortando el agujero para la cabeza. Y esta vez sí que cosí la goma directamente a la tela y me encanta el resultado.

Did you guess what Bubu wanted when she saw the fabric? Dragonflies for her, of course!!

Luckily the fabric had the same print in different colors, so we have the same shirt but not in a total partner look. 

The part of the fabric I used for hers was intact, so I didn’t have to cut four pieces to sew it. I actually did it in only one piece, cutting a hole for the head. This time I sewed the elastic directly to the fabric, like the tutorial says, and I like the result a lot.

Libélulas - Dragonflies

Esta tela hace tiempo que estaba en el armario. Es del mercado. La vi un día justo cuando ya había pagado y me iba, y le pregunté al hombre por ella. Me dijo “¿Esta? Es una de las que uso para hacer los fardos…” y me la regaló. Tenía algunos agujeritos pequeños pero servía igualmente.

Hace poco la reencontré en medio del montón, y me puse a buscarle futuro en Pinterest. El tutorial de una camiseta de “Lemon squeezy Home” en “Sewing In No Mans Land” tenía buena pinta. Además las dos telas eran blancas con estampado azul, solo que la suya es punto y la mía viscosa.

This fabric has been on my stash for a while. It’s from the market. I saw it just when I was leaving the place, when I had already paid, and I asked for it. The man gave it to me, because it was one of the big remnants he used to make the bundles to put them in the van. It had a few little holes but it still could be used.

Recently I rediscovered it in the closet, and I looked for something interesting on Pinterest. The tutorial for a shirt by “Lemon squeezy Home” at “Sewing In No Mans Land” looked nice. Besides, both fabrics are white with blue print, although hers is jersey and mine is rayon. 

Por culpa de los agujeritos no pude cortar el delantero y el trasero de una pieza, tuve que cortar cuatro piezas en total. Pero no problem, porque la gracia de este patrón es justamente que lleva una goma por encima de la cintura, y por tanto ya divide cada parte en dos.

Because of the little holes on my fabric I couldn’t cut the front and the back in one piece, I had to do it in four pieces in total. But no problem, because one of the features of the pattern is the elastic above the waist. 

No cosí la goma directamente a la tela, como en el tutorial, sino que la metí dentro de la costura, aprovechando que la hacía francesa.

Y terminé el cuello con bies.

I didn’t sew the elastic directly to the fabric, I encased it in a French seam.

And I finished the neck with bias tape. 

El retal tenía el mismo estampado en dos colores distintos, bueno, en realidad eran dos telas cosidas juntas… ¿Qué creéis que dijo Bubu cuando lo vió?

The remnant had the same print in two different colors, they were actually two fabrics sewn together… Can you imagine what happened when Bubu saw it?

Camisetas Frankenstein! – Frankenstein T-shirts!

¡Bubu necesita camisetas! ¡Las del año pasado le van muy justas! Así que sin que sirva de precedente, le he hecho al menos tres ¡¡antes de que llegue el frío!!

En las escuela nos pidieron una muda entera dentro de una cajita para tener “en caso de accidente”. No quería poner prendas nuevas ahí dentro porque (espero!) no las va a usar muy a menudo… Así que cogí una camiseta vieja pero en buen estado, y creé ¡la primera Frankenstein! ¡Jajajaja!

He contado ¡y tiene diez piezas! ¡Incluso el cuello lo he aprovechado! Lo mejor de todo es que me ha gustado el efecto de la espalda en dos partes y de las mangas en tres… ¡seguro que en un futuro lo hago expresamente!

Bubu needs T-shirts! Last year’s ones are too tight… So for once, I have done at least three in advance!!

At school we were asked to bring an entire outfit in a box, to use “in case of accident”. I didn’t want to put new clothes in there, because (I hope!) she won’t be using them that often… So I took an old but not very used T-shirt and created the first Frankenstein!! Hahahaha!!

I counted ten pieces for it! Even the neck was recycelt!! The best part of it, is that I like the effect of the back in two pieces and the arms in three! I’ll do it on purpose in the future!

La siguiente camiseta también es una Frankenstein, la azul. Con restos de hacer una Plantain y la Mamasun. Hilos y más pidió que usáramos lo que teníamos por casa para su “Reto vuelta al cole”, ¡así que me lo tomé al pie de la letra!

The next T-shirt I did is also a Frankenstein, the blue one. With rests of one Plantain and the Mamasun… Hilos y más wanted us to use what we had home for the “Reto vuelta al cole” (~ “Challenge back to school”), so this was a great excuse to do so!

La rayada la hice con un retal del Mercado. Aquí no tuve que trocear nada, qué aburrido… XD

El patrón es el de Serger Pepper que no ha llegado a la luz aún.

Mamasun (Free pattern by Aefflyns)

No hay mucho que contar… Vi la camiseta Mamasun a Laura de Con mis manitas – avec mes mains ¡y supe que quería una! ¡Un CVCQ total!

El patrón es gratuito, de la alemana Aefflyns.

La he hecho con un jersey super elástico y baboso, de una tienda local. Sólo me llevé medio metro, así que la corté a contra-hilo, pero en este caso mejor, porque así la camiseta se da menos horizontalmente.

¡Y esto es todo! ¡Hasta la semana que viene!

 

There’s not much to explain… I saw this tanktop Mamasun on Laura (@Con mis manitas – avec mes mains) and I knew I needed one!

The pattern is a free one, designed by Aefflyns.

I did it with a very stretchy jersey I found in a local shop. I took only half a meter, so I cut it cross grain (better this way, because the top stretches less horizontally now).

Big Sis & Lil’ Sis T-shirts

En un principio solo quería hacer la camiseta “Big Sis”, pero cuando estaba cortando la tela no me pude resistir a cortar para hacer la versión baby…

El patrón de la camiseta grande es otra vez el que Serger Pepper no ha llegado a publicar. Le he dejado más margen de costura y ha quedado grandecita. Para la camiseta pequeña me he inventado el patrón a partir de una camiseta talla 3-6 meses.

He cosido las letras y cerrado el cuello a mano. No sé porqué me vinieron ganas de “costura slow”…

My idea was only doing a “Big Sis” T-shirt at first, but when I was cutting the fabric I couldn’t resist cutting a smallest one…

The pattern for Bubu’s T-shirt is the unreleased one of Serger Pepper again. For the smaller version I traced the pattern from a T-shirt I have for Mini Bubu, size 3-6 months.

I sewed the letters by hand, the neckline too, I don’t know why I felt like doing slow sewing.

En la camiseta de Mini Bubu le he hecho una abertura para poder vestir y desvestirla fácilmente.

In Mini Bubu’s T-shirt there’s an opening, so that we can easily dress and undress her. 

La tela de lunares, que por cierto es fucsia, en la foto queda anaranjada, es de Cal Joan. La tela gris es de camisetas recicladas.

The dotted fabric, which is pink by the way and not orange at all like in the pics, is from CalJoan. The grey one comes from recycled T-shirts.
